The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornish throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hunter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Hunter closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Cornish counter with a right hand.

and Cornish counters with a left and a right that stings Hunter.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sai Yuk. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bertha lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fong Sai Yuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sai Yuk drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bertha gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bertha lands a hook that snaps the head of Sai Yuk backwards.

Jeez, Fong Sai Yuk's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
