Tretiak lands a really nice looking cross but Howard seems unphased.
Tretiak throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Howard.
A punch combination from Tretiak misses.
Tretiak stalks Howard and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Howard's face. Howard staggers backwards, shaken.
Howard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Howard tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Tretiak counters with a one-two to the body.
Tretiak looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tretiak lands with an uppercut that bounces Howard off the cage and back into rage.

Howard is breathing heavily.
Tretiak looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Tretiak drives through with a takedown into guard.

Tretiak drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Tretiak as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Howard screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Tretiak! Nice submission victory there!

and Duddy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Oooooh!!! Duddy has knocked Hilt down with a huge combo! Duddy steps away and waves a wobbly Hilt back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Duddy throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Hilt's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Duddy dives in looking to finish as Hilt flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Duddy's strikes! Duddy is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Hilt's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Hilt was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

DeMille really doesn't want to stay on the ground with NoGG. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if DeMille can do anything to dispel that myth.
NoGG wants to control the pace but DeMille is squirming around nicely.

NoGG thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
NoGG has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
NoGG can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as DeMille is looking to escape.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


DeMille wants to land a leg kick but NoGG is out of range.
NoGG changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. DeMille tries to avoid it but NoGG manages to keep hold of a leg and drag DeMille to the ground. DeMille escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
NoGG dives in and grabs DeMille's left leg, looking for a takedown. DeMille pushes down on NoGG's head and hops out.

NoGG drives through and clinches with DeMille against the cage.
DeMille tries to land knees in the clinch but NoGG avoids the damage to the body.
NoGG tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for oGG NoGG. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

oGG NoGG is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

NoGG wants to free his trapped foot but DeMille is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
NoGG takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
NoGG moves into full mount! DeMille won't be happy about that!

NoGG has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
NoGG prevents DeMille from getting the reversal.
NoGG takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

NoGG lands with a right hand.
