Nice uppercut there from Mega.

and Mega counters with a three punch combo that has Queriza backing up. Queriza nods at Mega to acknowledge the strikes.

Max Mega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Queriza takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mega rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Queriza moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Mega counters with a left and a right that stings Queriza.

Mega bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Queriza's head backwards.
Mega dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Queriza takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Mega lunges at Queriza with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Queriza's hand.
Mega works Queriza's body with a nice hook.
A punch lands to the side of Queriza 's head but he takes it in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mega moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Mega will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Queriza tries to move into range but Mega moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Mega looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Queriza drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mega is looking to stand up but Queriza isn't so interested in that idea.
Mega has his hands on Queriza's head, controlling the position.
Mega wants to get back to his feet but Queriza is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mega lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Queriza!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Silver counters with a nice double leg into side control. Elite won't be happy with that.

Silver wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Elite, who protects the arm well.

Elite knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silver on the ground.
Elite tries to bench press Silver off him but Silver keeps the position.

Silver thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Silver is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Elite is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Silver is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Elite has escaped the position, nice work there.
Elite tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Silver wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Silver goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Elite rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Silver's guard! Nice work there by Elite!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silver is on top in guard.

Silver is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Elite is just riding it out for now. Silver eventually gives up the hold.

Silver wants to finish this one by submission but Elite is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Silver.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fetch seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fetch has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hara is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
