The cut above Jonathan Joester's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Toney is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Joester flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Joester is out cold! Toney holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Lombard slips under a jab.
Lombard scores with a one two! Sapp had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Sapp throws a lazy uppercut
and Lombard counters with a one-two to the body.
Lombard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sapp moves in looking to clinch but Lombard pushes him off.
Lombard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sapp moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lombard takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lombard throws a right hand that Sapp ducks under and follows up with a left that Sapp also avoids with ease.

Sapp gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Lombard gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Sapp is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

King takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Teru tries for a takedown but King sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
King throws a half hearted mid kick.
King stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and King wants it to stay on the feet.
King connects with a body shot that sends Teru's belly button to the back.
A nice leg kick lands there from King.
Teru looks gassed!
Teru jabbing away but nothing is landing.
King connects with a solid leg kick.
Mikami Teru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

King drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Teru takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
You can see the frustration on Teru's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Teru really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King tries to score with some ground and pound. Teru controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Teru can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

King has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Teru is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Teru is pressed up against the ropes. King has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Teru down to the mat. Teru avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

King turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and King manages to end up in side control.

and King counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Teru's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

King is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Teru can do to turn this around?
King stands up over Teru, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Aslam King overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

King is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Teru is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

King has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Aslam King is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Teru is trying to stand.

King has control of Teru's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Teru regains control of the situation pretty easily.
King looking to finish Teru with some ground and pound. This is bad for Teru!

Aslam King showed his dominance in that final round.
Well King has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
