Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Drysdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Guitierezz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hector Guitierezz struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Hector Guitierezz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Horrible takedown by Jefferson or perhaps it was just good defense by Macklin which made him look bad.
Jefferson slaps away a takedown attempt from Macklin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jefferson dives in and grabs Macklin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Macklin pushes down on Jefferson's head and hops out.

R stalks Oyster and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Oyster's face. Oyster staggers backwards, shaken.
R fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oyster throws a hook to the side of R's head but R sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Oyster takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and R counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
R keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
R will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Oyster counters with a stiff right hand.

Oyster lands a lovely overhand right.
Oyster takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

R throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Oyster was covering up waiting for the punch and R finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Oyster pushes R off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Oyster misses with a hook. R ducked under it nicely.
Oyster uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from R.
Oyster on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

R thows a body shot but no joy.
R bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Oyster throws a leg kick but R sees it coming and checks it nicely.
R takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

R moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
A solid leg kick lands there for Oyster.
R moves out of range as Oyster strikes.
R is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Oyster.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

R pushing down on Oyster's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
R prevents Oyster from standing back up.
R throwing shots but Oyster is blocking nicely.
Oyster is trying to stand back up but R is controlling him
Oyster tries to kick R off in order to stand up. R Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Oyster takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

R is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Oyster knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Oyster is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but R has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Gage R is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Oyster taking a bit of punishment here - R scoring with strikes.
R is looking to take a break and control but Oyster is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gage R comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well R has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
