The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braddock shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lord counters with a stiff right hand.

Braddock gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lord to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Lord showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Lord landing with the ground and pound.
Lord is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Braddock looking to control.
Lord throws a big right hand that misses.
Lord knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Braddock on the ground.

Braddock looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Braddock working for a triangle but Lord defends it easily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lord is pushing down on Braddock's leg trying to pass to half guard. Braddock is fighting to maintain full guard but Lord has managed to sneak the leg through.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lord in particular looking to stall.
Lord slips a nice elbow through Braddock's hands, connecting with Braddock's forehead.
Lord passes the guard and advances to mount!
Braddock keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Braddock is in a horrible position here. Lord smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Lord with shots to the head and body - Braddock looks very uncomfortable down there.
Braddock is trying to escape the mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lord connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lord cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lord avoids the attempt from Braddock to control.
Braddock might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lord kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Lord lands a big elbow.
Lord is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Braddock goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Lord!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rumble Lord!
