The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Obstacle swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Emelianenko walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Obstacle checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Emelianenko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Emelianenko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Emelianenko counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Emelianenko.

Overima wants to clinch but Rapist slips to the side
and Rapist counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Konina Ot Overima has been cut.
Rapist misses with a takedown attempt

and Overima counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Overima.
Rapist has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Overima is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Overima wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rapist has him pressed against the cage.
Rapist has Overima pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Overima manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Konina Ot Overima has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brutal Rapist.
Rapist is trying to drag Overima to the mat but Overima just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Rapist drops down looking for an ankle pick but Overima pulls his leg out and moves away.

Rapist closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Rapist has an Americana. Overima didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rapist is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rapist hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Machine feints and as Rotthwell raises his hands in defense, Machine changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rotthwell is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Machine is controlling him.

and Rotthwell counters with a crisp one two that drops Machine! Rotthwell thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Machine to his feet! Machine is in big trouble!

Machine is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rotthwell throws a shot to the body.
Oh Machine is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rotthwell drops Machine with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Machine looks back up at him and smiles so Rotthwell waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Rotthwell lands a slapping body shot.
Machine seems to have got his legs back now.
Rotthwell steps in with a hook that catches Machine right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Rotthwell follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Machine looks absolutely devastated.
