Robbie Lawler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lawler throws a right hand that Overeem ducks under and follows up with a left that Overeem also avoids with ease.

No joy there for Overeem, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Lawler finds Overeem's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Overeem flops back against the ropes, eyes gazing into the distance. Lawler lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Overeem will be OK.

Barnes feints a jab promting Hansen to slip. Barnes then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hansen slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
