The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Rush, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rush scores with a jab to the jaw.

Penn fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rush to the ground. Penn is now in Rush's guard.
Penn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rush swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Penn trying to control the position from guard on top but Rush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Penn throws and elbow that misses. Rush uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Penn's guard. Nice move by Rush!

Penn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Penn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Rush looks to land a combination but Penn avoids it well.
Sloppy strikes from Rush. Those never looked like landing.
Rush loads up on a big right hand but Penn slips the punch.
Rush shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Penn as he avoids it easily.

Rush is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Horrible takedown by Rush or perhaps it was just good defense by Penn which made him look bad.
