The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hais closes the distance but Machine moves to the side

and Machine decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hais's guard.

Hais is looking for a triangle here but Machine uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hais tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Machine wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Machine prevents Hais from escaping the position.

Machine looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Hais regains half guard.
Hais wants to get back to his feet.
Hais manages to get to full guard.

Machine has gone for a leg lock! Hais slips out almost immediately though and dives into Machine's guard.
Hais will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Machine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hais advances position into side control!

Hais tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hais has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Machine is trying to control Hais's posture but Hais avoids it.
Machine is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hais has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Machine tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hais tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Hais sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Machine is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Machine is not content to let Hais control the position.
Machine wants to control but Hais postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hais landing a few strikes.

Hais has hold of Machine's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Machine tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hais cranks the arm and Machine screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Machine, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

and Hunt counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Coco Bongo has been cut.
Titanic Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt throws a jab when Bongo was well out of range.
Bongo misses with a double jab
enabling Hunt to counter with a crisp jab.
Bongo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hunt counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bongo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hunt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Coco Bongo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hunt lands a head shot.

Coco Bongo's cut is getting worse.

Bongo moves away from the strike by Hunt.
Bongo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Bongo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hunt cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Coco Bongo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bongo. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Hunt connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bongo momentarily.
Bongo with a poor takedown
and Hunt counters with a three punch combo that has Bongo backing up. Bongo nods at Hunt to acknowledge the strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hunt throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bongo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bongo is breathing heavily.
Hunt lands a nice hook to Bongo's body. Bongo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The fighters circle momentarily. Hunt darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Jeez, Coco Bongo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Bongo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hunt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groenhud does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Groenhud swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marsden blocks the body kick.
Groenhud throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Marsden counters with a head kick that drops Groenhud to the mat! Groenhud scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Groenhud is rocked!
Groenhud takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Oh Groenhud is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Marsden misses with a head kick.
Groenhud seems to have got his legs back now.
Marsden lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Groenhud throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Groenhud misses with a straight left.
Some wild striking there from Marsden.
Groenhud really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Marsden moves out of range as Groenhud strikes.
Marsden is looking to slow Groenhud down with leg kicks.
Groenhud shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Marsden counters with a slapping leg kick.
Groenhud is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marsden looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Groenhud misses with a double jab
and Marsden counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Marsden shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Groenhud eats them both and turns towards Marsden to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Groenhud throws a head kick that misses.
Marsden scores with the left hand. Groenhud knows he should have avoided that one.
Groenhud ducks under a wild hook from Marsden.
Marsden connects with a nice looking jab.
Marsden throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Groenhud gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Marsden gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Groenhud is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
