Sack feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sack is aware though and is defending well.

Hakaisha looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hakaisha working over Jack with some ground and pound. Jack looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Hakaisha is thwarting Jack's attempts to control the position.
Hakaisha is trying to control the action in half guard but Jack is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hakaisha throws a strike but Jack avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Hakaisha thows a big elbow that misses.
Hakaisha stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jack swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hakaisha postures up and lands a big shot to Jack's brow.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


A head kick misses from Jack.

Hakaisha bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Jack is not content to let Hakaisha control the position.
Hakaisha creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Hakaisha tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hakaisha has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hakaisha tries to move to full mount but Jack actually manages to regain half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hakaisha thows a huge punch but Jack dodges it nicely.
Hakaisha wants to control but Jack is keeping him busy.
Hakaisha passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jack!
Hakaisha throwing strikes here but Jack is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Jack tries to hold on but Hakaisha pushes him away.

Hitokage Hakaisha has got the better of the ground game so far.

Samurai Jack's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Hakaisha is landing with some decent strikes but Jack is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Jeez, Samurai Jack's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Samurai Jack's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
