Gonzales throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hawk was covering up waiting for the punch and Gonzales finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Gonzales got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hawk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gonzales has managed to get both his arms back between Hawk's legs - danger averted.
Gonzales would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Manny Le!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesner throws a left and a right that both miss
and Le counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lesner keeps the fight on the outside.
Sloppy strikes from Lesner. Those never looked like landing.

Lesner bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Le! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

It looks like Manny Le has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lesner with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Le pulls Lesner in close to prevent any damage.
Lesner thows a big elbow that misses.
Lesner throws and elbow that misses. Le uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lesner's guard. Nice move by Le!
Lesner being controlled here, momentarily.
Lesner wants to stand and escape but Le is having none of it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Le wants to stand but Lesner has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Le stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lesner swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Le trying to control but Lesner is working from the bottom.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Le prevents Lesner from getting back to his feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Manny Le hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lesner connects with a right that clearly hurt Le. He's backed up against the ropes with nowhere to go as Lesner proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Le collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liam Lesner!
