Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Corleone.
Corleone falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cordes counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Sonny Corleone has been cut.

Cordes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Corleone counter with a right hand.

and Corleone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Corleone makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Corleone swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Corleone shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cordes eats them both and turns towards Corleone to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Corleone connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Nice defenses there by Cordes.
Jorge Cordes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rigaldo moves into the clinch.

Rigaldo has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rudd clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Rigaldo doesn't have the hooks in and Rudd manages to turn into his guard.
Rudd slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
You can see the frustration on Rigaldo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Rudd decides to stand back up. Rudd steps back and let's Rigaldo get back to his feet.

Rudd is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rigaldo is trying to escape and Rudd transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rigaldo is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rudd! Very nice indeed!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Michael Benoit.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Benoit, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
