The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inoki has a takedown stuffed.

Inoki closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Inoki connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Henning some visible discomfort.

Thomas cracks Shannigan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thomas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Shannigan gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Tommy Shannigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thomas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shannigan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Thomas lands a jab to Shannigan's midsection.
Thomas lands a jab-cross combination.
Thomas feints with a jab and clips Shannigan right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Shannigan is sent crashing into the canvas and Thomas leaps in for the kill! Shannigan tries to get to his feet but Thomas is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Shannigan is in need of a savior and steps in!
