The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Lao misses.
Lao throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Phoenix sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lao throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Phoenix.

It looks like Paul Phoenix has been cut.

Phoenix shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Lao keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Lao is working hard here to advance position.
Lao holds on to Phoenix around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.

Phoenix gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Kralaiev gets to his feet and stands over Convents, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Convents felt that one! Kralaiev unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Convents from any more punishment!

Goossens throws a right hand that Konn ducks under and follows up with a left that Konn also avoids with ease.
Goossens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Goossens throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Konn moves out of range of the body kick.

Konn shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Goossens napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Konn is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Goossens looks calm but he's in trouble here. Konn gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Goossens is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Konn lets go of the hold and Goossens can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Jaminson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rambo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Basic Thugonomics. Rambo is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Jaminson looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Jaminson backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Rambo's temple! It sends Rambo violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Jaminson celebrates and the doctors try to help Rambo!

Gunn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Adams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gunn has managed to get both his arms back between Adams's legs - danger averted.

McSlaughter jr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McSlaughter jr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A looping hook to the body misses from Loher. McSlaughter jr does a little dance to reset his feet.
McSlaughter jr lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Loher steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! McSlaughter jr is out on his feet! Loher sets himself and nearly takes McSlaughter jr's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
