Joo pushes Chang away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Chang gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Joo on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Joo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mcdonel moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Mcdonel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Troxx doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Troxx manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mcdonel has his feet on Troxx's thighs here. He's pushed Troxx off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Troxx screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson is working an open guard so Mashkow takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Jackson lands a nice hook to Mashkow's body. Mashkow takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
