The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogatyr explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Spalchik tries for a takedown but Bogatyr circles away easily

and Bogatyr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bogatyr.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bogatyr stands up and beckons Spalchik to his feet.

Spalchik tries to lock up and control but Bogatyr gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Spalchik got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bogatyr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spalchik has managed to get both his arms back between Bogatyr's legs - danger averted.
Spalchik won't allow Bogatyr to get back to his feet.
Spalchik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bogatyr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bogatyr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Spalchik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Spalchik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Spalchik feints and as Bogatyr raises his hands in defense, Spalchik changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bogatyr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Spalchik is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bogatyr is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Spalchik remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Russian Bogatyr will probably get the nod.

Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Sanofskij swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Mike Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Williams feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bokya thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Red if he has to take too many more of those.

Oooooh!!! Nemesis has knocked Pigg down with a huge combo! Nemesis steps away and waves a wobbly Pigg back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pigg drops his hands for a split second and Nemesis immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Pigg face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Nemesis follows up with a right hand that knocks Pigg into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
