Ritchie Ravenhill told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ravenhill drives through and clinches with Jobber against the cage.

Ravenhill has hold of one of Jobber's legs. Jobber is fighting the takedown attempt but Ravenhill gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Ravenhill missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Ravenhill gets to his feet. Jobber looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Ravenhill drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jobber working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ravenhill.
Ravenhill throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jobber works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Jobber could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ravenhill is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Ravenhill engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Jobber is breathing heavily.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ritchie Ravenhill hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ravenhill shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Ravenhill decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Ravenhill changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jobber looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ravenhill works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Ravenhill decides to stand back up.

Jobber gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ravenhill to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ravenhill keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jobber's head.

Ravenhill is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jobber can't keep his opponent in guard - Ravenhill advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ravenhill has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sylosis scores with a hook.
Sylosis tries for a takedown but Valtna sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sylosis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Valtna sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sylosis is looking to clinch but Valtna is avoiding it.
Sylosis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brent Sylosis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sylosis cracks Valtna with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Horrible takedown by Valtna or perhaps it was just good defense by Sylosis which made him look bad.

Sylosis cracks Valtna with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sylosis has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Valtna to stand back up!

It looks like Kaarel Valtna has been cut.

Sylosis drops Valtna with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Valtna looks back up at him and smiles so Sylosis waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Sylosis doesn't manage to clinch there - Valtna circles away.

Sylosis cracks Valtna with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Valtna looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Sylosis finish him?

Valtna is rocked!

Valtna shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sylosis napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sylosis trying his best to control but Valtna has mounted him.

Valtna is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sylosis is surviving well by controlling Valtna's body position as best he can.
Valtna connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Valtna has control of Sylosis's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sylosis regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Valtna is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sylosis to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sylosis shrugs it off.

Sylosis has left one of his arms exposed and Valtna doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Sylosis screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Glover rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Basara moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Basara looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Glover throws the left hand but Basara avoids the punch easily.
Glover wobbles Basara with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Glover dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Basara to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Balboa pushes Materson off looking to stand but Materson dives back in and keeps control.

Let's hope that Materson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like Materson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mike Materson.
Balboa lands with an overhand left.

Balboa lands with a shot to the body.
Materson moves forwards but Balboa connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Mike Materson has been cut.
Balboa drops Materson with a naaaaasty hook - Materson is in real trouble here! Balboa dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Prokop lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but OKane circles away quickly and effectively.

Prokop tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bartosz Prokop is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Good leg kick by OKane there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Prokop is on the wrong end of a nice combination from OKane.
Prokop takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
OKane throws a head kick that Prokop semi-blocks.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Prokop on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by OKane. OKane obviously looking to wear him down.
Prokop will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

OKane dives in and scores a takedown into Prokop's guard.

OKane stays in close to Prokop's body and controls the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells OKane's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Prokop really doesn't want to stay on the ground with OKane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

OKane stands up over Prokop, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
OKane works a leg free and moves into half guard.
OKane is nestled in close to Prokop, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
OKane moves into full mount! Prokop won't be happy about that!
OKane trying to control but Prokop is having none of it.
Prokop wants to get back to his feet.
Prokop takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
OKane is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Prokop can do to turn this around?
Prokop tries to buck OKane off but he can't manage it.

OKane breaks from Prokop's wrist control and lands an elbow.

OKane lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kp OKane overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

OKane can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Prokop is looking to escape.

OKane cracks a nice hook into Prokop's ribs.
Prokop slaps away a takedown attempt from OKane, before circling back to the center of the mat.
OKane misses with the combination.
Prokop throws a combination but it was largely blocked by OKane.
OKane fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Prokop has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

OKane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Prokop takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
OKane tries a head kick but it misses.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting OKane here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Prokop swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Prokop keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

OKane lands a leg kick that knocks Prokop off balance momentarily.
Prokop walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Prokop pulls out of a head kick attempt.
OKane lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kp OKane is winning the standup battle so far.

OKane clinches.

OKane breaks the clinch.
Prokop on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from OKane.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kp OKane. That's going to take a lot out of him.

OKane lands with a left to the head.

OKane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

OKane closes the distance and clinches up with Prokop, looking for a takedown. OKane pushes Prokop against the cage but Prokop circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
OKane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Prokop paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Prokop wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! OKane has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Prokop taps furiously! This one is all over!

Torres rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yildirim moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Yildirim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Torres sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Yildirim somewhat.
Alejandro Torres seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Torres throws a series of punches but Yildirim avoids them all with ease.
Torres throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Torres darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Yildirim looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Torres is fending him off so far but Yildirim persists. Nope, Torres circles away and we're back to standing.
Torres throws a right and a left that Yildirim avoids nicely.
Torres goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Yildirim is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kersey anticipates the leg and manages to get behind the preditor and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Kersey slips an arm under the preditor chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Kersey has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Kersey is squeezing on the preditor like an anaconda would it's prey. the preditor fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
