The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hodges's waist but Hodges gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tyler off to one side.

Tyler scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hodges is trying to buck Tyler off.
Hodges sneaks back into half guard.
Tyler wants to take a breather but Hodges is having none of it.
Tyler is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hodges is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Hodges is forced to tap! He'll be kicking himself for that sloppy move but that was very slick from Tyler!

Skinner has Bam Bam pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bam Bam manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bam Bam looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Skinner has Bam Bam pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Skinner pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bam Bam tumbling to the mat - Skinner dives into Bam Bam's guard.

Skinner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bam Bam tries to avoid it but Skinner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bam Bam to the ground. Bam Bam escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Skinner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bam Bam manages to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Skinner has hold of Bam Bam's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bam Bam manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Skinner is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bam Bam can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bam Bam takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polski lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Sert Pier has been cut.
Polski works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Polski lands a big uppercut and Pier crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Pier looks OK. Polski waves Pier back to his feet!
Polski throws a series of punches but Pier moves out of range.
Polski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Polski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pier manages to avoid it.
Polski jabs Pier right on the nose. Pier blinks but takes it well.

Sert Pier's cut is getting worse.

Polski drops Pier with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pier looks back up at him and smiles so Polski waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Pier is rocked!
Polski dances in with a quick combination. Pier is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Polski snaps Pier's head back. Pier stumbles backwards against the cage. Polski steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Pier's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Pier just didn't come prepared.

Zbeer shoots in looking for a takedown. Mackey tries to sprawl out of it but Zbeer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mackey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Zbeer walks into a stiff left hand from Mackey.
Zbeer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Zbeer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mackey pinned against the cage. Mackey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mackey throws a push kick but Zbeer slaps the foot to one side.
Zbeer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gill Mackey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Zbeer.

Horrible takedown by Zbeer or perhaps it was just good defense by Mackey which made him look bad.

Mackey walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Zbeer checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
