The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erectus fails with a takedown attempt.
Simpson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Erectus drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Simpson punishes Erectus's body with a nice straight punch.
Simpson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Simpson digs a good body shot into Erectus's ribs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Erectus checks a low kick from Simpson.
Erectus avoids a punch combination nicely.
Erectus takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Simpson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Erectus has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Erectus swings widly with a right hand
and Simpson counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Erectus! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Smalls looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Smalls slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Osiris Smalls hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Flores slips a jab and a cross from Smalls.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smalls.

Smalls has Flores pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Smalls pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Flores tumbling to the mat - Smalls dives into Flores's guard.

Smalls has hold of Flores's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Flores manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Flores is squirming around, avoiding Smalls's attempts to control the action.

Flores seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Smalls is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johannson walks straight into a right hand from Gama - that's dropped him! Gama jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Johannson from any more punishment! Johannson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
