The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz wants to clinch up but Kai Gi keeps it at a distance.
Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kai Gi pinned against the cage. Kai Gi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kai Gi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Diaz has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kai Gi thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Diaz if he has to take too many more of those.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Kai Gi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Kai Gi counters with a crisp one two that drops Diaz! Kai Gi thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Diaz to his feet! Diaz is in big trouble!

Miller gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Tall has Miller pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tall pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Miller tumbling to the mat - Tall dives into Miller's guard.
Tall won't allow Miller to get back to his feet.
Tall slips nicely into half guard.

Tall winds up and cracks Miller with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Miller dives in and grabs Tall's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tall pushes down on Miller's head and hops out.
Slawek Tall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Miller.
Tall shoots in and drives through. Miller sprawls well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tall shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tall throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Miller was covering up waiting for the punch and Tall finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Slawek Tall will probably get the nod.

Manhoef lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
