The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coach fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Coach, as that shot connected.
Gilbert tries to clinch but Coach moves away
and Coach counters with a stiff right hand.
Coach throws a nice inside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Coach tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Coach throws a jab but it's blocked by Gilbert.
Gilbert has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gilbert there as he acknowledges the shot.
Coach throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Coach. That snapped Gilbert's head back.
Gilbert wants to clinch.
Gilbert misses with a wild combination.
A big right from Coach misses.

A head kick misses from Coach.
Coach slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Coach cracks Gilbert with a right hand to the side of the head.
Gilbert has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Coach finds it's way round the side to connect with Gilbert's head.
Coach connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gilbert momentarily.
Gilbert slips a jab and a cross from Coach.
Gilbert gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Coach gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Gilbert is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Horwick on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Horwick takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gilbert lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Horwick fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gilbert blocks a jab.
Horwick closes the distance and clinches up with Gilbert, looking for a takedown. Horwick pushes Gilbert against the ropes but Gilbert circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A combination from Gilbert does no damage.

Horwick feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
