The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McManus closes the distance and clinches up with Wall, looking for a takedown. McManus pushes Wall against the cage but Wall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wall swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McManus has a takedown stuffed.
Horrible takedown by McManus or perhaps it was just good defense by Wall which made him look bad.
Johnny Wall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor McManus.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
