The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lil I misses with a head kick.
Santana fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Santana jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lil I displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Santana throws out the jab.

and Santana counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Santana takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Santana throws a shot from downtown. Lil I moves away and avoids it.
Santana bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Lil I closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Lil I tries to score with some ground and pound. Santana controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Santana pushes Lil I away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lil I gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Lil I is working to tighten is grip on Santana's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Santana has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lil I is really squeezing tight and eventually Santana passes out! Lil I breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
