Jimmy misses with a takedown attempt - Van Hoot sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Van Hoot tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jimmy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Van Hoot somewhat.

Jimmy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Van Hoot's waist but Van Hoot gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jimmy off to one side.
Van Hoot throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jimmy's head.
Jimmy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Van Hoot tries to avoid it but Jimmy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Van Hoot to the ground. Van Hoot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jimmy lands a jab to Van Hoot's midsection.
Van Hoot misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dibbiani.
deFunes bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
deFunes connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Luis deFunes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dibbiani closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dibbiani lands in his opponent's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circle, before deFunes throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Dibbiani's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! deFunes lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
