And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A nice leg kick lands there from Marquardt.
Marquardt takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Marquardt tries a head kick but it misses.
Marquardt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pierre was well out of range. Poor timing from Marquardt.
Pierre fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Marquardt checks it well.
Marquardt takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Marquardt tries to land a leg kick but Pierre saw it coming and moves away.
Marquardt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Marquardt ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pierre moves away.
Marquardt swings away with a leg kick that misses.

and Pierre counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice body punch from Pierre.
Pierre drops Marquardt with a beautiful combination! Marquardt stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pierre is looking for the KO!
Marquardt is rocked!
It looks like Jericho Marquardt has been cut.
Pierre misses with a body shot.
Oh Marquardt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

A cross from Pierre lands.
Jericho Marquardt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marquardt walks straight into a right hand from Pierre - that's dropped him! Pierre jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Marquardt from any more punishment! Marquardt complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Sackett throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Crunch! Sackett slams his shin into Joseph's torso.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sackett looks to score with a jab to the body but Joseph is just out of range.
Joseph ducks under a wild hook from Sackett.
A shot to the liver by Sackett. Beautiful body shot.
Sackett rushes Joseph and presses him up against the cage.

Joseph lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Joseph.
Sackett misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Joseph with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Joseph misses with an elbow strike.
Sackett lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Joseph backwards.
Sackett works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Sackett missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sackett makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Joseph throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sackett escapes and throws Joseph's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Joseph manages to get back to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Joseph wants to control but Sackett is keeping busy.
Sackett prevents Joseph from improving his position.

Sackett wants to pass the guard but Joseph is defending well.
Sackett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Joseph keeps working.
Joseph wants to control but Sackett is keeping busy.
Sackett throwing shots but Joseph is blocking nicely.
Sackett uses his free foot to push down on Joseph's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Joseph.

Sackett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Joseph is wriggling around trying to escape.
