And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Balthazar Houdini!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houdini stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Houdini wants it to stay on the feet.
Snarfsky fails with a takedown attempt.

Houdini closes the distance and pushes Snarfsky back into the cage.

Houdini breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Snarfsky fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Houdini to the ground. Snarfsky is now in Houdini's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Snarfsky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Snarfsky is looking to work some ground and pound but Houdini has wrist control.

Snarfsky drops back looking for a leg! Houdini is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Houdini manages to kick Snarfsky off! Snarfsky jumps back into Houdini's guard.
Houdini wants to sweep here but Snarfsky controlling him for the moment.

Snarfsky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Snarfsky throwing strikes from guard but Houdini blocks nicely.
Houdini is trying to keep Snarfsky in close.
Snarfsky works over Houdini with some ground and pound from guard.
Houdini looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Snarfsky distracts Houdini with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Snarfsky sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Houdini's guard.
Snarfsky looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Snarfsky lands a nice short elbow.
Snarfsky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Snarfsky throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Houdini is trying to maintain the position but Snarfsky is very close to passing his half guard.
Snarfsky passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Houdini!
Snarfsky scoring with strikes but Houdini is staying in there.
Snarfsky postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Houdini looks a forlorn figure.
Houdini can't escape the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Snarfsky fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Houdini is rocked!
Oooh a big shot lands for Snarfsky! Houdini is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bertrand Russel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bodies. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russel tries to land a body kick
and Silva counters with a low kick, right behind Russel 's knee.
Silva misses with a low kick.
Silva takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Russel tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Russel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Russel.
Russel misses with the combination.
Russel throws a hook but Silva avoids it easily.
Good work by Russel as he checks the leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Russel throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Russel lands a big uppercut and Silva crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Silva looks OK. Russel waves Silva back to his feet!

Silva is rocked!

It looks like Anderson Silva has been cut.
Russel closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Silva out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
