The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ready clinches up with Boom and pushes him back against the cage.

Boom has picked Ready up - he's going for a ride! Boom dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ready is trying to maintain the position but Boom is very close to passing his half guard.
Boom prevents Ready from improving his position.

Boom changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ready looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That was a close second round but I would say that Killer Boom will probably get the nod.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petersburg swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Magomedov counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Petersburg throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Magomedov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Magomedov passes into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Magomedov connects with a nice short shot to Petersburg's temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Petersburg is looking to control Magomedov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Petersburg avoid being mounted?
Magomedov wants to pass the guard but Petersburg is defending well.

Magomedov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Magomedov slips a nice elbow through Petersburg's hands, connecting with Petersburg's forehead.

Magomedov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Petersburg with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Magomedov lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Petersburg quite badly. Petersburg pulls Magomedov in close trying to recover. Magomedov postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Petersburg on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Petersburg doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
