Orca comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the Tiger. Kahric comes into a darkened arena with his song building. B00M kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Orca misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kahric takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kahric rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Orca moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kahric wants to clinch.
Samiro Kahric seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Orca cracks the inside of Kahric's front leg.
Kahric tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Orca manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kahric doesn't manage to clinch there - Orca circles away.
Kahric looks to land a combination but Orca avoids it well.

Orca is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kahric is just riding it out for now. Orca eventually gives up the hold.
Orca knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kahric on the ground.

Kahric jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Orca walks away with a smile on his face. Kahric gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Orca moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Kahric takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Orca manages to break the clinch.
Orca lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Orca's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Orca duly obliges.

Orca feints a jab promting Kahric to slip. Orca then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kahric slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Orca lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

and Orca counters with a nice leg kick.

Orca throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marciano tries to bum rush Basaev with a series of wild strikes but Basaev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Marciano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Basaev circles away quickly and effectively.

Rodriguez drops Smith with a beautiful combination! Smith stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rodriguez is looking for the KO!

It looks like Daniel Smith has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rodriguez steps in with a hook that catches Smith right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Rodriguez follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Smith looks absolutely devastated.
