The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caesar closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Caesar lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Caesar passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Caesar is working Amsterdam over with some ground and pound from side control.
Caesar works to advance to full mount. Amsterdam defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Caesar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Clinched against the cage, Thomas lands a big elbow that drops Mitchell ! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Mitchell is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
