And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Gamaz!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamaz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cordova.
Cordova throws a jab but it's blocked by Gamaz.
Gamaz throws a nice looking combination but Cordova bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cordova chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gamaz can pounce on him.
Gamaz blocks a head kick by Cordova.
Gamaz throws a leg kick which misses Cordova's front leg but catches the back leg as Cordova tries to avoid it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gamaz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cordova - the referee stops the clock and Gamaz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cordova. Gamaz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Brazzi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kalik's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kalik's back!

Brazzi is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kalik is defending well though. Brazzi let's go of the attempt for now.

Brazzi has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Kalik! Can he survive? No! He's out! Brazzi gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

That was a close round but I would say that Jarkko Rautavaara will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
