The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Skarsgard is fending him off so far but Cooper persists. Nope, Skarsgard circles away and we're back to standing.
Skarsgard throws out a loose jab but Cooper uses good head movement to avoid it.

Skarsgard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cooper paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cooper takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Cooper shoots in for a takedown but Skarsgard shows good takedown defense.

and Skarsgard counters with a series of strikes. Cooper will be more careful next time no doubt.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Skarsgard! Cooper is out on his feet! Skarsgard rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Cooper is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Cooper is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
