That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Con Dumas.

Cole darts in and clinches Speed up against the cage.

A punch lands to the side of Cole 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Cole throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Speed stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Speed lands a nice hook to Cole's body. Cole takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Speed throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cole.
Cole is looking to clinch but Speed is avoiding it.

Cole uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Speed.
Speed throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Cole's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Speed dives in looking to finish as Cole flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Speed's strikes! Speed is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Cole's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Cole was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
