That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kyle The Kid.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamei stuffs the takedown attempt from De Souza. De Souza gets slowly back to his feet.

and Kamei counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Kamei is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
De Souza has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from De Souza there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

De Souza tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kamei clobbers De Souza with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
De Souza takes a body punch but keeps moving.
De Souza is breathing heavily.
Kamei scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kamei throws a good cross that connects.
Kamei throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent De Souza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
De Souza's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kamei connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! De Souza scrambles back to his feet.

Oh De Souza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Koichi Kamei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kamei measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes De Souza! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Vallely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vallely comes into the arena with CKY - 96 Quite Bitter Beings blaring out of the sound system. Anderson has chosen RAWR as his entrance music. Marc Anderson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Vallely works the jab nicely.

Anderson is still on wobbly legs! Can Vallely finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vallely bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Anderson's head.

and Vallely counters with a huge left! Anderson is in big trouble! He's backing up but Vallely isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Anderson from any more damage. A dominating finish by Vallely!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Vallely!
A relieved looking Mike Vallely thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
