Sato is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ray lets go of the hold and Sato can pop his arm back in it's socket.

I think Ringo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to A Country Boy Can Survive. Ryuta Godai has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Johnny Ringo's chin.

Ringo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Godai circles away quickly and effectively.

With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Beam!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson looks to land a right hand but Beam moved out of range.
A punch combination from Beam misses.
Beam will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Beam fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Karlsson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The fighters circle momentarily. Beam darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Jimmy Karlsson has been cut.
Beam is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Karlsson.

Karlsson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Karlsson wants to control but Beam is keeping him busy.

Karlsson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Karlsson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Beam is trying to maintain the position but Karlsson is very close to passing his half guard.

Karlsson is keen to just control but Beam is a slippery customer.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Karlsson is working for a kimura but Beam is defending it quite comfortably.

Beam is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Karlsson pulls his head out easily.

Karlsson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beam is just riding it out for now. Karlsson eventually gives up the hold.

Beam is looking to regain half guard here but Karlsson keeps moving and retains side control.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Karlsson here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Beam parries the strikes from Karlsson easily there. Karlsson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Beam to escape.

Karlsson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Beam keeps working.
Karlsson lands a few punches from side control.
Karlsson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Karlsson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Karlsson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Beam is trying to reverse the position but instead Karlsson has taken his back - oops!

Karlsson has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Beam! Can he survive? No! He's out! Karlsson gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
