Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simon Adebisi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Flipper Gill!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Gill or perhaps it was just good defense by Adebisi which made him look bad.
Adebisi tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Gill counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gill shoots in for a double leg but Adebisi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Adebisi wants to clinch

and Gill counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gill.
Gill looking to pass the guard.
Gill with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Gill has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gill tries to free his leg and advance position but Adebisi is retaining full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Adebisi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Gill throwing strikes but missing.
Gill postures up in Adebisi's guard and throws a big left but Adebisi blocks it.
Adebisi keeping moving, preventing Gill from controlling successfully.

Gill drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Adebisi dives on top into guard.

Gill is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Adebisi is aware though and is defending well.
Adebisi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gill on the ground.

Gill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Adebisi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gill pulls Adebisi in to control the position.
Gill controls Adebisi momentarily but Adebisi frees himself.

Gill had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Adebisi defends it easily.

Gill looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Adebisi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gill is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gill manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Gill punching from mount but Adebisi doing a good job of avoiding damage.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gill cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The referee warns Adebisi that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Adebisi is breathing heavily.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gill cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Gill thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Gill lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Gill looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Gill looking to finish with strikes here!
Gill unloads with some shots from mount but Adebisi bucks and avoids them well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gill looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flipper Gill dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Gill keeps the fight on the outside.
Adebisi shoots in but Gill avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gill swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Adebisi tries to sprawl but Gill drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Gill seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Adebisi is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Flipper Gill!
