The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assante shoots in looking for a takedown but Snow manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Assante's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Snow leaves Assante with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Snow jabs Assante right on the nose. Assante blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Salvatore Assante has been cut.
Assante looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Evans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hinuri shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dee napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dee misses with a strike from the bottom.

Hinuri is trying to move to mount but Dee reverses beautifully and ends up in Hinuri's guard.
Dee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hinuri on the ground.

Hinuri wants to sweep but no luck.
Hinuri manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dee manages to get himself to full guard.
Dee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hinuri is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Dee working for a triangle but Hinuri defends it easily.

Hinuri slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dee tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hinuri cranks the arm and Dee screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dee, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
