Carwin takes one to the chin there.
Carwin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Carwin pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Brown closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carwin quickly recovers to half guard.
Brown winds up and cracks Carwin with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Brown thows a huge punch but Carwin dodges it nicely.
Brown passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Carwin!

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton LaVey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Hunter had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter shoots in and drives through. LaVey sprawls well.
LaVey dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hunter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
LaVey throws a lazy right hand but Hunter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hunter misses the shot to the body.
LaVey misses with a two punch combination.
LaVey uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hunter has time to react.
A looping hook to the body misses from LaVey. Hunter does a little dance to reset his feet.
LaVey feints a jab promting Hunter to slip. LaVey then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hunter slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hunter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but LaVey avoids it really well and circles away.
Hunter moves out of range as LaVey strikes.
Hunter throws a sloppy head kick and LaVey moves out of range easily.
Hunter tries to clinch but LaVey is having none of it.

and LaVey counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacob Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

LaVey fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Hunter square on the jaw! Damn, Hunter is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

Bernardini jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gillmeister manages to avoid the submission attempt.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gillmeister can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bernardini has hold of Gillmeister's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Gillmeister tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Bernardini cranks the arm and Gillmeister screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Gillmeister, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
