The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Krasilin.
Melanko is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Krasilin is controlling him well.

Krasilin stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Melanko ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Krasilin clinches up against the cage.
Melanko is looking to break free of the clinch but Krasilin has double underhooks.

Krasilin turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Krasilin has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Krasilin goes for an armbar but Melanko turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Melanko.

Melanko in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Krasilin tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Melanko!

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mutant Chernobli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Scott's choice of entrance music: Alestorm - Shipwrecked. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Scott goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Chernobli needs to keep his hands up - Scott had a free shot at his head there.
Scott misses with a double jab.
Chernobli closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Chernobli fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Scott sprawls well initially but Chernobli persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chernobli missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Chernobli has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Chernobli has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Scott defend it? Chernobli steps over the head and cranks it - Scott is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Chernobli!

Barrymore kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Thing That Should Not Be. Robinson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Bat Country" by Avenged Sevenfold kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Theopolis Barrymore is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Barrymore tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Robinson swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Theopolis Barrymore. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Robinson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Robinson is pushing Barrymore up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Robinson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Barrymore decides to pull guard.
Robinson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Robinson stopping the sweep attempt from Barrymore.

Barrymore working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Robinson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Robinson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Barrymore has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Robinson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Robinson is sitting in close to Barrymore's body. Barrymore has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Robinson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Robinson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Barrymore.

and Batley counters with a one-two to the body.

and Batley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sixth Man fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The Sixth Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sixth Man throws a left and a right that both miss
and Batley counters with a straight right hand.
Batley throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Sixth Man stumbling backwards into the cage! Sixth Man bounces back off the cage towards Batley, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Batley lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Batley celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

I think Matthews might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cult of Personality. The key to victory for Dominick Matthews has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Brown looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Brown keeping moving, preventing Matthews from controlling successfully.
Matthews trying to stand up but can't free himself from Brown's guard.
Matthews's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Matthews stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Matthews wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving.

We're going to have a standup here because Dominick Matthews wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Matthews shoots in but Brown avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Matthews shoots in for a double leg but Brown sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Matthews gets a takedown into half guard.
Brown has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Matthews is working away from the top position though.
Brown blocking the ground and pound attempt from Matthews.
Matthews is trying to control the action in half guard but Brown is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Matthews is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brown is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Matthews knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dominick Matthews.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Matthews swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Matthews lands a left and a right that send Brown crashing to the mat, dazed. Matthews thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Harry Brown has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Matthews lands a leg kick that knocks Brown off balance momentarily.
Brown takes one to the chin there.

Brown is rocked!

Matthews shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Brown is still in real trouble! Can Matthews finish him?
Matthews postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Brown bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Matthews and the fight is over!
