Nice straight punches there by Matthews. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Matthews.

It looks like Randsome Gracie has been cut.
Matthews throws out a powerful jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A jab-cross combination lands for Matthews and sends Gracie crashing to the mat! Matthews follows him down to the mat - Gracie regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maximus gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sheilds to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sheilds trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Maximus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sheilds doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sheilds manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Sheilds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maximus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Demetriou on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Demetriou closes the distance and pushes Wise back into the cage.
Demetriou has Wise pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wise manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
