Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tj Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tanishk Soni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tanishk Soni!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soni fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Thomas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thomas wants it to stay on the feet.

Soni has managed to clinch.

Soni breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Soni misses with a low kick.
Soni tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thomas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thomas looks to score with a jab to the body but Soni is just out of range.
Soni shoots for a double leg takedown but Thomas sprawls well. He's pushed Soni's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tj Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tanishk Soni.
Thomas throws a jab but it's blocked by Soni.

Soni has Thomas up against the cage in a clinch.

Thomas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Soni avoids the body shot from Thomas.
Thomas slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Tanishk Soni has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Soni closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Soni breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Thomas swings for the body but Soni moves out of range.
Thomas dips to his left and cracks Soni with an uppercut!
Soni changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thomas tries to avoid it but Soni manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thomas to the ground. Thomas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Soni ducks under a wild hook from Thomas.
Tj Thomas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Soni fails with an attempt to clinch.
Thomas throws out a loose jab but Soni uses good head movement to avoid it.
Soni throws a low kick, looking for Thomas's leg but Thomas calmly moves out of range.
Thomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Soni moves away.
Thomas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Soni connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Soni moves out of range of the strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A jab from Thomas misses.
Soni takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Soni looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Soni attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Thomas lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Soni shoots in but Thomas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Thomas thows a body shot but no joy.

Thomas gets caught flat footed, as Soni shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Thomas tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Thomas is trying to keep Soni in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tj Thomas just wasn't active enough.
Thomas looks to land a combination. Soni sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Thomas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Thomas throws a shot to the body.

Thomas lands a big uppercut and Soni crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Soni looks OK. Thomas waves Soni back to his feet!

That has opened up Tanishk Soni's cut even more.
Thomas throws a lazy right hand but Soni sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thomas is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Thomas sends Soni crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Thomas is motioning to the referee to let Soni up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Soni is rocked!

The cut above Tanishk Soni's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Soni takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Soni is still on wobbly legs! Can Thomas finish him?
BAM! Thomas delivers a spinning backfist that drops Soni like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
