The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bread shoots for a takedown but Jitsu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jitsu throws a hook to the side of Bread's head but Bread sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jitsu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bread manages to avoid it.
Spanish Bread seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jitsu stuffs the takedown.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Bread drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bread jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Oh but Jitsu is tightening it up a little... Bread has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bread reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bread taps out! Nice BJJ there by Jitsu!

Lopez tries to bum rush Schoonover with a series of wild strikes but Schoonover uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Schoonover shoots in for a double leg but Lopez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
