Penna doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Savchuk counters with a nice double leg into side control. Penna won't be happy with that.

Savchuk decides to stand up, so the ref orders Penna to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Savchuk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Savchuk tries to free his leg and advance position but Penna is retaining full guard.

Penna is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Savchuk has his hands clasped together but Penna extends an breaks Savchuk's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Penna.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Ky screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Hart pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Winner was done - good stoppage!

Grazies changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Uesugi tries to avoid it but Grazies manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Uesugi to the ground. Uesugi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Uesugi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Grazies checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Uesugi darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Shizuka Uesugi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crunch! Uesugi slams his shin into Grazies's torso.

Grazies is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Uesugi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Uesugi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Withrow moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Withrow lands a nice shot that snaps O Neil's head back.

Withrow takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
O Neil lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Withrow is rocked!
Withrow has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by O Neil.
Withrow looks gassed!
O Neil moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Withrow walks into a stiff left hand from O Neil.
O Neil scores with the left hand. Withrow knows he should have avoided that one.
Withrow is still on wobbly legs! Can O Neil finish him?
