The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krasilin shoots in for a takedown but Rumble shows good takedown defense.
Rumble will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Krasilin throws a right hand that Rumble ducks under and follows up with a left that Rumble also avoids with ease.
Rumble lands with a hook. Krasilin tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rumble moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Alex Krasilin has been cut.
Rumble tries to clinch but Krasilin is having none of it.

Krasilin drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Krasilin is trying to control the position but Rumble postures up.

Krasilin wants to control the action here but instead Rumble manages to pass to full mount!

Rumble loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Krasilin scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Rumble land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Rumble stands and salutes the crowd.

Thomas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Eric Fox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fox throws a right hand that Thomas ducks under and follows up with a left that Thomas also avoids with ease.

Thomas closes the distance and clinches.
Thomas's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Fox pushes Thomas back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Thomas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fox lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Fox fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thomas manages to avoid it.

Thomas is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fox's half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melanko fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cole looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mark Cole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Melanko tests Cole's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Melanko drops Cole with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cole looks back up at him and smiles so Melanko waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cole has taken the fight to the clinch.
Melanko fails to pull guard.
Melanko is trying to drag Cole to the mat but Cole just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Cole's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Melanko cracks Cole with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Cole looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Melanko finish him?

Melanko lands a big uppercut and Cole crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cole looks OK. Melanko waves Cole back to his feet!
Oh Cole is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cole tries to clinch but Melanko is having none of it.
Cole seems to have got his legs back now.
Melanko thuds a left hand into Cole's body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Melanko cracks Cole with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Melanko has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Cole to stand back up!

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Melanko has cracked Cole with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Melanko lands another huge swinging hook and Cole tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Cole, before Melanko can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jay Melanko!

After winning the bout, Jay Melanko thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
