Machine throws a shot from downtown. Fujita moves away and avoids it.
Machine throws a low kick but Fujita avoids it.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Machine.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fujita is defended easily by Machine.

Fujita closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Fujita sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Machine is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Fujita remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Machine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Decision Machine was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Fujita shoots for a takedown but Machine saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fujita moves forwards but Machine connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Machine throws a lazy right hand but Fujita sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Machine is looking to control Fujita's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Machine avoid being mounted?

Machine has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fujita is working away from the top position though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kazaki Fujita will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Fujita tries to bum rush Machine with a series of wild strikes but Machine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Machine moves in looking to clinch but Fujita pushes him off.

A nice right hand lands inside from Fujita.

Machine misses with a hook to the ribs.
Fujita is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Machine pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Fujita wants to take the fight to the mat but Machine manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

It looks like Kazaki Fujita has been cut.
Fujita tries a body shot but Machine blocks it.

Fujita goes for a takedown attempt but Machine pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Machine misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Machine throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Decision Machine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machine swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Machine throws a low kick but Fujita moves out of range easily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Machine, as that shot connected.

Fujita blocks a head kick by Machine.
Machine throws the kick towards the body but Fujita avoids it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A slapping leg kick lands for Machine.
Machine looks for the body kick but Fujita saw that one coming.
Decision Machine seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Fujita on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Machine. Machine obviously looking to wear him down.
Fujita closes the distance and clinches up with Machine, looking for a takedown. Fujita pushes Machine against the cage but Machine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Machine tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fujita crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Machine - the referee stops the clock and Fujita gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Machine. Fujita manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Machine throws a head kick but Fujita moves out of range.
Fujita misses with the body kick
and Machine counters with a two punch combo.
A slapping body kick lands there for Machine.

Machine thows a body shot but no joy.
Machine misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Machine throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Machine lands a big head kick that sends Fujita tumbling to the mat! Machine takes a step backwards and waves Fujita back to his feet - he wants the finish!
An inside leg kick lands from Machine.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Machine.
Machine connects with a looping right hand.

Fujita is rocked!
Machine thuds a left hand into Fujita's body.
Machine works over Fujita's head and body with a nice combination.
Oh Fujita is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Machine feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Fujita collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!

Mallon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Mallon tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Paulsen pushes Mallon back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Paulsen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mallon clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Mallon rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Paulsen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Paulsen scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Mallon wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mallon looks to land a right hand but Paulsen moved out of range.

Paulsen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mallon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Paulsen feints and then cracks Mallon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mallon down.
Mallon takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Paulsen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like John Mallon has been cut.
Paulsen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mallon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Mallon closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Paulsen.

Mallon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Paulsen shoots in looking for a takedown but Mallon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Paulsen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mallon looks to land a right hand but Paulsen moved out of range.
Mallon misses with an uppercut. Paulsen saw that one coming.
Mallon on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Paulsen closes the distance and clinches.

Paulsen lands a big uppercut and Mallon crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mallon looks OK. Paulsen waves Mallon back to his feet!

That has opened up John Mallon's cut even more.
Paulsen connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Mallon out cold! This one is over in a flash!
