The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweeperton lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Muhammed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sweeperton connects with a looping right hand.
Muhammed throws a series of punches but Sweeperton avoids them all with ease.
Muhammed misses with a head kick.
Muhammed takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Sweeperton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Muhammed.
Akbar Muhammed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sweeperton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Muhammed's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Fillipovitch looks to land a body kick but Kane moved away.

He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

and Great takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Great tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Comte Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Great.

Comte Jr's jab looks to have found its range, popping Great under the eye.

Comte Jr feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Great sprawling to the canvas! Great rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Comte Jr finish him?!

Great is rocked!

That has opened up Rams Great's cut even more.
Comte Jr drops Great with a naaaaasty hook - Great is in real trouble here! Comte Jr dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Sotto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Paneda defends well.

Sotto throws a chopping leg kick but Paneda manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Paneda's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
