Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bob Sanders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cage Nichols!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders looks to land a body kick but Nichols moved away.
Nichols is looking to clinch.
Nichols fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sanders looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Nichols clinches up against the cage.
Nichols jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sanders walks away with a smile on his face. Nichols gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nichols is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sanders.

Nichols feints and as Sanders raises his hands in defense, Nichols changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nichols slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Nichols wants to pass the guard but Sanders is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanders is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nichols is controlling him.
Sanders will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Cage Nichols was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Nichols cracks Sanders with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Sanders looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Nichols finish him?

Sanders is rocked!

It looks like Bob Sanders has been cut.

Nichols dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Sanders has had enough and taps out.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Cage Nichols!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Moto Akita!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hastings scores with a shot to the body.
Akita wants to clinch but Hastings slips to the side
and Hastings counters with a nice body kick.
Hastings tests Akita's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hastings comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Akita takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Hastings moves out of range of the body kick.
Akita swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hastings counters with a head kick. That will keep Akita thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hastings lands a nice shot that snaps Akita's head back.
Hastings works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hastings lands a high kick!

Akita is rocked!

It looks like Moto Akita has been cut.
Akita takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Akita is still on wobbly legs! Can Hastings finish him?
Hastings lands a body shot.
Akita looks gassed!
Akita gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomi rushes Sik and presses him up against the cage.
Sik scores with a shot to the side of Gomi's head.

Sik is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gomi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sik to the mat. Sik regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gomi throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gomi tries to free his leg and advance position but Sik is retaining full guard.
Sik tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Gomi trying to control but Sik is working from the bottom.

Sik has his feet on Gomi's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Gomi tries to clinch but Sik is having none of it.
Gomi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sik thumps Gomi with a low kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sik jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Sik has Gomi up against the cage in a clinch.
Sik is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gomi is defending well for now.
Sik gets underhooks to prevent Gomi's takedown attempt.
Sik lands a body punch.

Sik has Gomi pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sik pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gomi tumbling to the mat - Sik dives into Gomi's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sik's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Sik sitting in guard, not really doing much.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gomi controls Sik momentarily but Sik frees himself.
Sik stopping the sweep attempt from Gomi.
Sik is looking to work some ground and pound but Gomi has wrist control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sik keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gomi's head.
Sik landing with the ground and pound.
Sik trying to control but Gomi is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sik accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sik postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gomi trying to keep a closed guard but Sik is proving a slippery customer.
Sik passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gomi tries to buck Sik off but Sik is having none of it.

Sik has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gomi is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sik yanks on the arm and Gomi is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sik.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dat Sik!
