The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parada tries to score a power double leg takedown but Caldwell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parada somewhat.
Parada dives in and grabs Caldwell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Caldwell pushes down on Parada's head and hops out.
Parada misses with a takedown attempt
and Caldwell counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

That was a close round but I would say that Pacman Barnes will probably get the nod.

Schmitt wants to break free but Maier has control.

Maier has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Schmitt uses from the top position.

Maier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schmitt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
