Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mr Azure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Strikes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr Azure!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Carlos Strikes!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Azure.
Azure moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Carlos Strikes has been cut.
Strikes throws a nice head kick!
Strikes throws a sloppy head kick and Azure moves out of range easily.
Strikes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Azure.
Azure scores with the left hand. Strikes knows he should have avoided that one.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Azure clobbers Strikes with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Strikes dodges the punch combination from Azure.
Azure misses with an uppercut. Strikes saw that one coming.
Strikes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Azure shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Strikes eats them both and turns towards Azure to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Strikes rushes Azure and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Azure tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Azure pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Azure keeps the fight on the outside.
Azure looks to land a combination but Strikes avoids it well.
Azure throws a hook to the side of Strikes's head but Strikes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Strikes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Strikes keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Azure.
Azure waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Strikes.
Azure looks to throw the jab but Strikes is out of range.

Azure swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Azure throws a body punch but Strikes moves out of range.
Strikes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Azure drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Strikes wants to get back to his feet.

Azure is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Strikes has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Azure is putting a hurting on Strikes here, landing some big shots from side control.
Strikes takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Strikes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Azure. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Azure is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Strikes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Strikes takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Azure grinds an elbow into Strikes's temple.

Azure is working to tighten is grip on Strikes's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Strikes has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Azure is really squeezing tight and eventually Strikes passes out! Azure breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
