The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saga lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boxer circles away quickly and effectively.

Saga changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boxer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Saga prevents Boxer from escaping the position.
Boxer wants to control but Saga postures up.
Boxer gets back to half guard.
Saga thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Saga is nestled in close to Boxer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Boxer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Saga looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Boxer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Saga missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Saga seems to be working for a kimura but Boxer defends the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Saga ducks under a wild hook from Boxer.
Boxer misses with an uppercut.
Saga loads up on a big right hand but Boxer slips the punch.
Horrible takedown by Saga or perhaps it was just good defense by Boxer which made him look bad.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Boxer.

Boxer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Saga stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boxer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boxer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Saga feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Feti has chosen Feuer Frei as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Feti lands a left and a right that send Piekny crashing to the mat, dazed. Feti thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Piekny is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Feti throws a powerful right kick. Piekny tried to block low but the kick was high! Piekny was taken right off of his feet! Feti jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

That was a close round but I would say that Cris Dupont will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Phillips controls Dupont momentarily but Dupont frees himself.

Phillips is looking to stand up but Dupont isn't so interested in that idea.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Dupont shoots in for a takedown but Phillips shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
